FINANCIAL AIDS AND SCOLARSHIPS

 
Financial Aid
"Give Him Credit" is a ministerial project which gives deserving students the possibility to obtain, by request, low interest student loans through:
- Guaranteed funding for the payment of university taxes and tuition fees, expenses connected to participation in the Erasmus program, expenses for the enrolment in post-graduate courses.;
- Guaranteed funding for expenses connected to rent contracts (security deposit and realtor fees) for off-campus students;
- Guaranteed funding for the purchase of a WiFI laptop;
- Bank facilities as a bank account or prepaid credit card, with special rates and conditions for those who use one of the foreseen funding options.
150-Hour Scholarship
Students from the second-year to the first year out-of-course can, through an open contest, work within different university offices and/or dipartments. Each year, on September 30, a public competition announcement is opened. The duration of the collaboration is 150 hours. For further information, consult the booklet "Students' Regulations".
Students can apply online once the public competition announcement has been published.
Grants for grauating students
Grants can be assigned to graduating students involved in research activity for their final dissertation that is done at a distance of at least 200 km from the Università del Salento. The beneficiaries are students who need 36 credits (CFU) to complete their degree course, who are not more than two years behind completing all their exams in the university prescribed time period. Scholarship to encourage class attendance
These are grants available to students enrolled in 2008-2009, who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the public competition announcement. These scholarship can be confirmed for other six semesters fromt he first enrollment, provided that students maintain all said requirements.
Scholarship confirmation for subsequent years will be given, after submission of application, by November 5, yearly, along with the university tax reimbursement.
The amount of the scholarship, which will be awarded on the basis of merit and income level, varies according to whether the student is considered "on-campus", "off-campus", or "commuter".
